I have a new video work LAYOFTHELAND installed in the NewActon Art Box. The work was developed for the Art, Not Apart festival which took place on the 17th of March, and will run 24/7 for the next month.

'LAYOFTHELAND is a vibrant, dynamic video work that employs drone footage to transform the surface of the land into a giant flatbed scanner. Stitching together different textures and locations, the video provides a unique visualisation of the landscape data that surrounds us. Lay of the Land provokes questions around how we perceive/interact with the landscapes, and how human development effects and changes them.'

I have a print work up for grabs as part of CCAS's annual fundraiser Quick Draw.

Quick Draw opens on Friday November 17 and you can get tickets through their website HERE

Both The Canberra Times and the RiotACT have put up interviews with me about the NPG's Digital Portrait Prize!

Very happy to announce that my work ‘Treading Water’ was selected as a finalist for the National Portrait Gallery’s Digital Portrait Prize. The video will be up from the 1st of December at the gallery along with the other finalists. Thanks to Paung Khaing for playing the starring role!

I don’t read books. Of course I have read a handful, and own more than I can count, but I would never describe myself as a ‘big reader’ or a ‘booklover’. Encyclopaedias in particular have always been a complete mystery to me. Thankfully the tide has turned, and what were once a symbol of intelligence, wealth, and status have now become practically worthless – old dusty relics full of old information presented in an old way. Booksmart is an installation of over 100 Encyclopaedias and reference guides presented alongside a video piece. It celebrates the death of this old, static way of storing and accessing knowledge, and the birth of a new dynamic and democratic vehicle for information that often requires more of the reader.

Booksmart opens on the 30th of March 2017 at the Canberra Contemporary Art Space Manuka.

I am showing 2 video pieces as part of Art Not Apart 2017:

'Running Study' has been included in the Shake It Up exhibition at the Nishi Gallery.

'Piano' will be installed in the National Film and Sound Archive lobby from 1pm onwards on the 18th of March.
