LAYOFTHELAND

2018

LAYOFTHELAND is a vibrant, dynamic video work that employs drone footage to transform the surface of the land into a giant flatbed scanner. Stitching together different textures and locations, the video provides a unique visualisation of the landscape data that surrounds us. Lay of the Land provokes questions around how we perceive/interact with the landscapes, and how human development effects and changes them.

LAYOFTHELAND was developed for Art, Not Apart 2018 and was displayed playing on a loop 24/7 for two months in the NewActon Art Box.
